PALO ALTO, Calif., July 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- In 2025, CHAI AI secured additional rounds of funding, bringing its total investment to date to over $55M. CHAI's investors include individual investors such as Ken Howery and Bill Elmore, along with AI companies CoreWeave and AMD.
With a mission to build a platform for user-generated AI (UGAI), CHAI was the first to enter the UGAI space, launching in 2021 and hitting 1 million users in early 2022, preceding both ChatGPT and Character AI.
As of 2025, CHAI has continued its growth and now serves over 10M users and is one of the most valuable private AI startups in Silicon Valley. With its office in Palo Alto and a lean team of 11 engineers, it has an ARR of $40M.
