Abu Dhabi's Yas Waterworld Waterpark Expansion To Open To Public On July 1

The expansion of Yas Waterworld waterpark is all set to open to the public on July 1, Miral announced Wednesday, June 25.

The expansion, located on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, extends over an area of ​​13,445 square metres.

The new area will host new water rides and entertainment activities for all family members, in addition to the existing amenities.

The waterpark will introduce a 'Lost City' theme, a continuation of the park's original story, 'The Legend of the Lost Pearl', with a collection of 20 new rides, slides and experiences, alongside a new dining experience, packed with fun for guests of all ages.

The new rides will include Al Mafras, a twisting, desert water slide for kids with a splash landing; Red Dunes, a twisting, closed aqua tube slide and Al Falaj Race, the region's first side-by-side dueling tube raft race, with high-speed drops, sharp twists, and head-to-head action.

The expanded waterpark also features Al Sahel Junior, the region's first mini zero-gravity boomerango along with Dawwama Junior, a scaled-down version of the park's iconic tornado slide.

Among some of the new rides are also Mataha Madness, Sadaf Swirl, Bahamut's Rage and Bandit's Playground.

With the expansion, the park is now home to more than 60 rides, slides, and attractions, offering more aquatic adventures than ever before.
