GCC Ambassadors In New Delhi Discuss Ways To Enhance Cooperation With India


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW DELHI, July 2 (KUNA) -- Ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in New Delhi held a meeting chaired by Kuwait to discuss ways to deepen cooperation with India.
A statement by Kuwait's Embassy in New Delhi on Wednesday said that the meeting, chaired by Kuwait as the current head of the council's, discussed ways to enhance and develop the GCC India relations in various fields at all levels.
During the meeting, the ambassadors shared Gulf visions and ideas to support the progress of joint Gulf action.
The ambassadors discussed recent escalation in the region, expressing their condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the Iranian attack against Qatar, describing it a flagrant violation of international laws and the principles of good neighborliness.
They also affirmed the GCC countries' firm support for Qatar and their full support for its security and stability.
The GCC ambassadors also expressed concern about the reference to the exploitation of the Strait of Hormuz, an important waterway for navigation, global trade, and the flow of energy supplies, in any regional and global disputes and conflicts.
This is the second meeting of the GCC ambassadors during Kuwait's presidency of the council, aiming at exchanging views and coordinating positions that serve the common interests of the GCC countries and India. (end)
