Army Chief, USCENTCOM Commander Discuss Regional Security And Military Cooperation

Amman, July 2 (Petra) -- Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti met Tuesday with General Michael Kurilla, Commander of U.S. Central Command USCENTCOM, to discuss ways to strengthen military cooperation and address regional security challenges.
The two sides reviewed efforts to enhance coordination on key defense matters, including joint training, intelligence sharing, and strategic planning. They also discussed recent developments across the region and the importance of advancing cooperation in areas that serve the operational and strategic interests of both armed forces.
Talks highlighted the strategic relationship between the two countries, with both sides emphasizing the need for unified international efforts to promote security and stability in the region.
Several senior officers from the Jordanian Armed Forces attended the meeting, along with the U.S. Defense Attaché in Amman.
