Turkish Stock Index Opens Wednesday with Modest Gain
(MENAFN) Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened on Wednesday at 10,103.74 points, reflecting a modest increase of 0.23%, or 23.40 points, from the previous session's close.
On Tuesday, the BIST 100 surged 1.33%, reaching 10,080.35 points, with a notable daily trading volume of 132.3 billion Turkish liras (approximately $3.3 billion).
As of 10:05 AM local time (0705 GMT), exchange rates were recorded at 39.8160 Turkish liras for the US dollar, 47.0380 for the euro, and 54.8090 for the British pound.
The price of gold per ounce stood at $3,330.85, while Brent crude oil was priced at $66.80 per barrel.
