
Registration Opens For Government Scholarships
Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced the opening of registration for the Government Scholarship Programs for the academic year 2025–2026. Qatari high school graduates, along with other eligible groups, are encouraged to apply and take advantage of the expanded opportunities offered through the newly enhanced scholarship framework. Registration is open from July 1 until September 30, 2025.
The updated scholarship plan features three main programs: the Amiri Scholarship Program, the External Scholarship Program, and the Internal Scholarship Program, which includes the“Tamouh” initiative.
The Amiri Scholarship Program is the most prestigious. It is awarded to students who achieve best results in the secondary school certificate examinations. This offers fully funded study opportunities at the top twenty-four universities in the world, in addition to five prominent local universities. The program gives priority to critical fields such as medicine and engineering.

The External Scholarship Program provides students with the opportunity to study at leading international institutions ranked in the top two hundred universities globally in specific fields.
This programme includes a broad range of disciplines It includes science, technology, education, sports, literature, and the arts.
The Internal Scholarship Program supports students who wish to pursue their higher education at institutions within Qatar.
It covers all academic levels from diploma programs to postgraduate studies. Admission to the program is also based on academic merit, with preference given to students with high secondary school averages and those enrolled in fields that are in demand nationally and aligned with labor market priorities.
The internal scholarship program also includes the“Tamouh” initiative, which is tailored to support education-related disciplines.
In appreciation of academic excellence, the ministry has introduced additional benefits for the top ten students in the scientific and literary tracks, as well as for those ranked highest in specialized academic streams.
These outstanding students will receive extra support to encourage continued excellence in their university studies.
