Gaza: Five Palestinians were martyred and several others injured, including a young boy and girl, as Israeli occupation warplanes carried out multiple airstrikes today targeting different areas in the central and northern parts of Gaza Strip.

According to Palestinian medical sources, the bodies of the martyrs were transferred to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, severely disfigured as a result of the Israeli bombing of a house in the town of Al-Zawaida in central Gaza. Meanwhile, Al-Saftawi area in northern Gaza City was also subjected to Israeli shelling.

In another strike, Israeli warplanes targeted a public kitchen ("Takiya") where hundreds of civilians had gathered in Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, resulting in multiple civilian injuries.

With these latest attacks, the number of martyrs in Gaza since dawn today has risen to 29, including six people who were martyred while waiting to receive humanitarian aid.

Earlier on Sunday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 55,959 martyrs, the majority of whom are children and women, in addition to 131,242 injured. The ministry also noted that the bodies of many victims remain trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings, as rescue and civil defense crews are unable to reach them due to the ongoing bombardment.
