Sales Cross 74 Tonnes At Indian Mango Festival
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Sales at the second edition of the Indian Mango Festival (Al Hamba Exhibition) at Souq Waqif crossed 74,700kg over the first seven days, according to the figures released by Souq Waqif Management on X.
The festival received 71,600 visitors to record a good response from the citizens, residents and tourists.
Different varieties of Indian mangoes are available at the festival, which concludes tomorrow (June 21) at the Eastern Square of Souq Waqif.
The event, organised by the Private Engineering Office (PEO) in co-operation with the Indian embassy, is open from 4pm-10pm today and tomorrow.
“The exhibition has drawn a diverse audience of families, citizens, residents and tourists from various nationalities, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere,” the PEO said in an earlier statement.
“Participating vendors confirmed that all mango varieties showcased at the exhibition were imported specifically for this event via direct air shipments from India on a daily basis ensuring the highest levels of freshness and quality to meet visitor expectations,” it added.
The festival features 55 varieties along with cakes, sweets, ice creams and juices.
Most famous Indian mango varieties including Rajapuri, Malgova, Neelam, Alphonso, Kesar, Badami, Mallika, Imam Pasand, Kalapadi, Totapuri, Chakkarakkutti and Sindoor are featured in the expo featuring 38 Indian companies.
