Khamenei Threatens US With Irreparable Damage

KABUL (Pajhwok) Iran's supreme leader says the Iranian people will firmly stand against an imposed war, and that any US military intervention will undoubtedly be accompanied by irreparable damage.

According to IRNA news agency, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran's Supreme Leader, stated in a televised message today (Wednesday) that the Iranian people will not submit to any kind of imposition or coercion.

Referring to recent remarks by Donald Trump, the US President, he said:
“Those who are wise and know Iran, its people, and its history, never speak to this nation in the language of threats. The Iranian nation will not surrender, and the Americans should know that any U.S. military intervention will without a doubt result in irreparable damage for them.”

President Trump took to Truth Social on Tuesday with a stark warning:“We know exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding. We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now... Our patience is wearing thin.” Moments later, he posted a single-word demand:“UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”

Last Friday morning, Israel targeted several Iranian facilities and areas with airstrikes, and in response, Iran launched retaliatory attacks against Israel.

Since then, both sides have continued to attack each other. These attacks have caused both financial damage and casualties on both sides, though exact figures are still unclear.
