UAE: Ban On Heavy Vehicles To Abu Dhabi Island Via Al Maqta Bridge
Starting June 16, heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering Abu Dhabi Island via Al Maqta Bridge.
The decision aims to maintain traffic flow. These vehicles can use an alternate route via Musaffah Bridge, Abu Dhabi Mobility announced.
Such restrictions are often seen in the emirate as part of efforts to improve safety and ease traffic.
Earlier, the authorities announced that heavy vehicles would not be allowed to use Abu Dhabi's roads during certain hours, which constitute peak traffic times.
