India: UK Fighter Jet Makes Emergency Landing At Thiruvananthapuram Airport
A fighter jet on Sunday made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram's international airport, sources reported, as per ANI.
The F-35 fighter jet of the UK Navy landed suddenly as it ran low on fuel. The aircraft is still there and more details awaited.
The emergency landing comes just days after a deadly Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad shocked the nation. At least 279 killed in one of the world's worst plane crashes in decades.
Viswash Kumar Ramesh, the only known survivor out of the 242 people onboard an Air India plane, is stable and recovering well, medical authorities in Ahmedabad had said earlier.
Ramesh, a British National, was seated in seat 11A of the plane bound for London's Gatwick Airport.
Meanwhile a day after the crash, an Air India flight from the Thai island of Phuket headed to Delhi requested an emergency landing on June 13 after a bomb threat was received on board, Phuket's airport said.
