IIT Kanpur & Nmexus Signs Mou For Advanced Innovation In Clean Energy & AI

(MENAFN- KNN India) Lucknow, Jun 12 (KNN) The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur has established a strategic partnership with NMexusTM, a New Mexico-based non-profit organisation, through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focused on advancing collaborative research and development initiatives.

The MoU encompasses multiple technology sectors including clean and sustainable energy, aerospace, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum computing, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.

The partnership framework is designed to facilitate joint research activities, innovation projects, and technology commercialisation efforts between academic institutions, research laboratories, and industry partners across India and the United States.

According to Manindra Agrawal, Director, IIT Kanpur, the partnership will focus on developing practical solutions to address significant global challenges.

The initiative aims to create scalable and sustainable technologies through coordinated efforts with New Mexico's academic institutions, research facilities, and industrial partners.

The collaboration will particularly emphasise developments in clean energy, artificial intelligence, aerospace, cybersecurity, medical technology, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Amar Vakil, Executive Director, NMexus Centre, characterised the partnership as an opportunity to connect New Mexico's developing innovation infrastructure with India's established research capabilities and technical expertise.

The MoU establishes a formal framework for ongoing cooperation between the institutions while supporting broader objectives related to sustainable development and technological advancement in addressing global challenges.
