Ukraine To Allocate Nearly GBP 1.7B From UK For Weapons Procurement PM Shmyhal

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a government meeting on June 11, according to Ukrinform citing his Telegra channel.

"Today we are making a decision to allocate nearly £1.7 billion from the United Kingdom for additional weapons procurement. With these funds, we plan to purchase RapidRanger air defense systems and lightweight multi-purpose Martlet missiles. This will significantly strengthen our air defense and our ability to stop the enemy," he said.

Shmyhal reminded that earlier this month, the United Kingdom announced record-breaking aid for the supply of drones. This involves £350 million, which will allow Ukraine to receive 100,000 drones this year.
