
Qatar Win Men's Trap Team Silver At Asian Shotgun Cup In Chin
Doha, Qatar: Qatar's shooting team won silver medal in the men's trap competition at Asian Shotgun Cup in Linfen, China, yesterday.
Qatar marksmen Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Saeed Abu Shareb, and Nasser Al Humaidi excelled in the men's team event and took second place in the trap competition. Kuwait won the gold medal, while Iran claimed the bronze.
Qatar's Al Rumaihi set a new personal best and equalled the Asian record striking 124 targets out of a total of 125 (25, 24, 25, 25, 25.
Qatar have now won a total of five medals at the championship including a gold medal in the mixed doubles skeet competition (Rashid Saleh Al Athba and Reem Al Sharshani), a silver medal in the women's skeet (Hajar Mohammed, Reem Al Sharshani and Aisha Al Ansari), a bronze in the men's team skeet (Rashid Saleh Al Athba, Abdulaziz Al Attiyah and Ali Al Ishaq), and a bronze in the women's singles skeet by Hajar Mohammed.
Qatar's shooters are looking forward to more in the mixed doubles trap competition on the final day today.
