1961 -- Kuwait government's ratified documents of an agreement to establish the Arab oil tankers company have been submitted to the Arab League Secretariat.
1966 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah signed a decree allowing the government to extend up to 50 million Kuwaiti Dinars in loans to Kuwaiti shareholding companies in accordance with a set of criteria.
1969 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah signed a law regarding contracts of oil workers who would have an average of 40 working hours per week.
1978 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed a decree approving a protocol of the judicial authority of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC).
1981 -- The third satellite station opened in Umm Al-Aish Area, Kuwait, with a capacity of 384 TV stations.
2001 -- Al-Hashemi II was registered in the Guinness World Records as the world's biggest wooden ship. The vessel, built by Marafi Family, was 80.4-meter long and 19-meter wide. The weight of nails and woods was around 2,500 tons. It took 1,000 days to build the ship with more than 200 builders, costing more than KD 26 million.
2007 -- Kuwait parliament approved a bill banning women from working between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. However, women working in hospitals and rehabilitation centers were exempted but their employers should provide transportation means. The law bans employment of women in jobs with high risks.
2013 -- Kuwait parliament approved amendment of housing care law that helped provide housing care for Kuwaiti women who were divorced or widow.
2013 -- Kuwait parliament approved a bill to transform Kuwait Airways into a shareholding firm.
2015 -- Dr. Fawziya Al-Kanderi conducted three operations to implant wireless cardioverter defibrillators, first of their kind in the Middle East.
2019 -- UN Security Council approved a Kuwait-proposed draft resolution over providing protection for civilians in armed conflicts.
2019 -- Kuwait Parliament assigned the Finance and Economy Committee to investigate outcome of an interpellation by MPs Bader Al-Mulla and Riadh Al-Adsani against Minister of Finance Nayef Al-Hajraf.
2023 -- The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) signed a KD 6.68 million (around USD 21.4 million) agreement with Italy's Leonardo Aerospace, Defense, and Security company to develop the air navigation system at Kuwait international airport via installing two advanced radar systems.
