Kuwait Loses To S. Korea In Asian Qualifiers For '26 World Cup

KUWAIT, June 10 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's national football team concluded participation in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup with a loss against its host, South Korea, by four goals to none, in the final round of Group B, Tuesday.
Kuwait placed sixth and last place in Group B with five points, while South Korea topped the competition at 22 points, followed by Jordan with 16, then Iraq with 12, Oman with 10, and Palestine with 9 points.
The group matches will continue later this evening when Jordan faces Iraq, while Oman faces Palestine, to determine which team qualifies for the Asian playoffs. (end)
