Moph Announces Apprehension Of Two Individuals Practicing Cosmetic Medical Services Without Professional Licenses
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, two foreign nationals have been apprehended for practicing cosmetic medical services without the required professional licenses.
In a press release, the Ministry clarified that the violators were identified through the monitoring and surveillance of advertisements on social media platforms. Legal action has been taken against them, and they have been referred to the competent authorities, who have decided to ensure their deportation from the country and to place their names on the list of individuals prohibited from entering the country.
MoPH emphasized that these measures are part of its ongoing commitment to safeguarding the health and safety of the public, ensuring that health services provided are safe, accredited, and delivered by licensed healthcare practitioners in licensed healthcare facilities.
The Ministry also urged members of the public not to be deceived or lured by advertisements or practices promoted via social media without verifying their legitimacy and accreditation from the official authorities. It stressed the importance of ensuring that healthcare services are obtained exclusively from licensed healthcare facilities.
MoPH further clarified that the license status of any healthcare practitioner in the country can be verified through the "Find a Registered Healthcare Practitioner" service, adding that any unlicensed healthcare practices can be reported via email.
