Qatar Attends GCC Housing Ministers Meeting

Doha: Qatar participated in 23rd meeting of ministers responsible for housing affairs in GCC countries, held in Kuwait yesterday.

Minister of Social Development and Family H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi led Qatar's delegation to the meeting.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the second GCC Housing Week was held under the theme“Sustainable Real Estate Development,” serving as a key platform for enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise in housing and urban development among GCC states.

The event was attended by the GCC housing ministers and officials, who discussed strategic policies for housing development in the region, aimed at strengthening Gulf integration and collaboration in this vital sector. Participants also shared best practices and pioneering experiences from member states.

The Minister of Social Development and Family also held separate meetings with Minister of Housing and Urban Planning of Oman H E Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed Al Shuaili, and Minister of State for Municipality Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs of Kuwait H E Abdullatif Hamed Hamad Al-Meshari
They discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in housing, reaffirming the importance of continued Gulf coordination and integration in the sector.
