Over 100 Schools In Occupied Luhansk Region At Risk Of Closure Due To Declining Student Numbers
"More than 100 schools in the so-called LPR will be closed this year, primarily due to the absence of students. While occupation authorities claim residents are returning to these territories, they simultaneously acknowledge that schools in numerous towns and villages remain empty. According to the invaders, parents have supported the closure of these educational institutions," Kharchenko wrote on Telegram.
He also noted that many settlements in the Luhansk region have been without access to essential medicines since their occupation in 2022. Pharmacy chains refuse to establish sales points or supply medical products due to security concerns. Meanwhile, the occupation administration has failed to grant operating permits for three years, instead shifting responsibility to the Kremlin.
