Students, Professors Explore Islamic Culture And Qatari Heritage At Abdulla Bin Zaid Center

The Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center recently hosted an academic delegation from MIE-SPPU Institute of Higher Education in Doha, consisting of 60 students and professors from various disciplines and nationalities. The visit aimed to foster intercultural dialogue and deepen understanding of Islamic values and Qatari heritage.

The visit began with a guided tour of the Center's Da'wah Hall, where the guests were introduced to the Center's mission of promoting moderate Islamic principles and cultural outreach.

Staff members explained the Center's educational programmes designed for non-Arabic speakers and showcased a selection of multilingual publications that present Islam in an accessible and respectful manner.

The delegation then visited the cultural exhibition area, where they were introduced to Qatari customs, traditional attire, social values, and aspects of daily life. This segment of the visit offered a comprehensive insight into the cultural identity of Qatar.

The highlight of the visit was the immersive Virtual Reality film“A Journey to Makkah”, which allowed students and faculty to virtually experience the spiritual journey of Hajj and Umrah through stunning visuals and interactive narration.

At the conclusion of the tour, the delegation expressed their appreciation for the Center's warm welcome and praised the quality and depth of the cultural content presented.
