Kuwaiti Charity Inaugurates 30-House Hamlet In Yemen

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ADEN, May 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Al-Najat Charity inaugurated on Sunday a 30-residence hamlet (Alkhaiyereen-10) in Tor Albaha region in Lahj as part of the Kuwaiti ten-year relief campaign, "Kuwait on your Side."
Omar Al-Samati, advisor to Lahj Governor, said in a press statement that construction of the small village was part of the efforts by the State of Kuwait and the association to support sustainable humanitarian projects in Yemen.
Such ventures largely help in improving Yemenis' living conditions and alleviate their hardships, particularly in rural regions where basic services are scarce, Al-Samati said.
For his part, the Yemeni philanthropist, director of "Yanabee' Alkhair" foundation, Abdulghani Alhjaji, said in a similar statement that "Al-Khaiyereen" project includes construction of a mosque, a school, an administrative facility, a water network and solar energy installations.
Affiliated smaller projects will be also executed to aid low-income families. (end)
