(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al Shaibani met Thursday with top diplomats of Turkiye and the US, on the sidelines of an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Antalya.
Syrian News Agency reported the talks with Marco Rubio and Hakan Fidan discussed details of lifting US sanctions on Syria, improving relations between Damascus and Washington, and ways to build a strategic relationship.
The Turkish and US foreign ministers had previously discussed, in a bilateral meeting, the latest developments related to Syria, the need to prioritize dialogue and negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, and steps to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
