Trump Praises Amir, Stresses Qatar Is Strategic Partner To US

Doha: President of the United States of America HE Donald Trump praised the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, describing His Highness as a personal friend, a great leader to his people, and a true leader.

In a speech to troops at Al Udeid Air Base on Thursday, His Excellency said that the State of Qatar is a significant strategic partner to the US, considering Al Udeid Base among the best US military bases around the world.

His Excellency said that Qatar will invest USD 10 billion in the newest models of drones, armored vehicles, and combat vehicles, commending what he described as the exemplary defense cooperation between the two countries.

Regarding international affairs, HE the US President described the situation in the Gaza Strip as a land of death and destruction, saying, that there's almost no building standing. He added that people are living under the rubble, and that's unacceptable. He also said that he has very good ideas for getting people back to their homes.

Concerning the Russian-Ukrainian war, HE Donald Trump emphasized that it would not have happened had he been President of the United States, noting that he worked hard to resolve the conflict between India and Pakistan, and that today they are happy and stable after years of fighting.

His Excellency noted that his administration had allocated more than a trillion dollars to bolster the budget of the military establishment, which had been his strongest supporter in the elections. He announced the signing of orders to spend USD 10 trillion to modernize the US military's capabilities over the next ten years, and to establish what he called the "Golden Dome" for air defense, all of whose components would be manufactured in the United States.
