Minister Of State For International Cooperation Meets Grand Mufti Of Jerusalem

Doha, Qatar: Minister of State for International Cooperation HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad met today with His Eminence the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories Sheikh Mohammad Ahmad Hussein, who is currently visiting the country.

During the meeting, they discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to discussing a number of issues of mutual interest.

Her Excellency affirmed the State of Qatar's firm and unwavering position in supporting the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, based on international legitimacy and the two-state solution, which guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The meeting was attended by HE Director of the Arab Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nayef bin Abdullah Al Emadi.
