Helicopter Crash Claims Lives in India


(MENAFN) Nearly six individuals lost their lives when a helicopter went down in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, according to reports from state media outlets.

The unfortunate event took place in the Uttarkashi district, a mountainous region known for its difficult terrain and remote locations.

a state-owned broadcaster revealed that another individual was left “seriously” wounded following the crash, which occurred close to the Ganganani hot springs area.

Rescue teams and local authorities swiftly reached the crash scene, with the broadcaster stating that “administration and relief teams are present at the helicopter crash site.”

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, directed local officials to extend every form of assistance to those injured and to begin an inquiry into the incident.

He emphasized his active involvement in the situation by stating, “I am constantly in touch with the officials in this regard and every situation is being monitored,” in a message shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.
