(MENAFN- Live Mint) Amid escalating tension between India and Pakistan over Pahalgam terror attack, a Pakistani senator, Palwasha Mohammad Zai Khan, has declared that the "first brick of the new Babri mosque" in Ayodhya would be laid by the Pakistani army.

A video of Palwasha's inflammatory speech in Pakistan's Upper House, on April 29, has gone viral amid tensions between the two countries over the Pahalgam terror attack.

'Pak Army Will Lay First Brick in Ayodhya Babri Masjid'

"That day is not far, when the first brick to rebuild Babri Masjid will be laid by a common soldier from Pindi, and the first call to prayer will be given by Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Asim Munir," Palwasha said on Tuesday.

'Muslim Government in India'

Starting her speech Palwasha claimed that the path was steering towards a the establishment of a Muslim government in India.

“Judging from current circumstances, it appears that Allah is creating the means for the establishment of a Muslim government -specifically a Pakistani Muslim government-in the Indian subcontinent.”, Palwasha said in Urdu.

Pakistan is officially an Islamic Republic with a federal parliamentary system of government.

“There is no doubt-this enmity is not with Pakistan or Pakistanis; this is enmity against Muslims and against Islam,” the Pakistani senator said adding,“the Senate of Pakistan must send a message: if any hand reaches toward us, then the symbol of their power-the Red Fort of Delhi-will witness a bloodshed that its walls have never seen, and its ramparts will testify to it for centuries to come.”

“Chairman, Hugo Chávez once addressed a great enemy and said: 'We have guns, we have arms, we have trees-and if the enemy tries anything, we will hang their corpses from our trees.' Today, that same message must go from us to those in India who are plotting nefarious designs against us.” the Senator continued.

“But let me be clear: we have no enmity with the people of India.”

Thank God, our stomachs are full, our arms are strong-and no one here wears bangles in fear. Even the women sitting in this Senate are not wearing bangles in submission.

If they throw a single brick at us, we will rain stones down upon them in such force that they will be annihilated. Any hand that reaches toward us will be cut off. Any foot that dares step on this soil will be severed. Any eye that casts a dirty glance our way will be gouged out.

Palwasha mentioned that in the Indian army, there are Sikh soldiers, who would NOT attack Pakistan in case of a conflict with India. Palswasha appeared to trigger a long-standing identity crisis that arose from the painful partition of 1947.

"If they are threatening Pakistan, then let them know that the Sikh army will not attack Pakistan because it's the land of Guru Nanak for them," she said, referring to the religious significance of the country for Sikhs.

I want to salute Sikh leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, who courageously declared that no Indian soldier will be allowed to cross into Pakistan from Indian Punjab.

And they threaten us with piling up our corpses-let them be reminded that our army is not just six or seven lakh soldiers-we have 250 million people who, when the time comes, will stand shoulder to shoulder with our armed forces and become soldiers themselves, God willing.

Notably, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is wanted in India and has been designated a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for his involvement in anti-India activities. He is a US- and Canadian-citizen Khalistani separatist who leads the banned organisation Sikhs For Justice (SFJ).
