CCD: Kremlin's Information Operation To Accuse Ukraine Of Breaking Ceasefire Has Failed
According to Ukrinform, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, said this in a Telegram message.
“Russia itself did not adhere to the ceasefire it declared, and in some places used the situation to prepare for possible new assault actions, and continued fighting in key areas,” Kovalenko said.
The head of the Center noted that, of course, if Russia really wanted to end the war, the“Easter truce” could be extended for 30 days to begin with.
“And, of course, the proposal of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to stop striking civilians with missiles and long-range drones is very appropriate,” Kovalenko added.
According to him, it will soon become clear whether Russia is really aimed at ending the war.
“So far, it is not clear,” Kovalenko said.
