
MECC Educates Students About Marine Environment Protection
Doha, Qatar: As part of its efforts to promote environmental awareness, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC), represented by the Marine Protection Department, has organised an awareness workshop on marine environment protection in Qatar for students of Umm Salal Primary Girls School.
The workshop was presented by Abdullah Al Khulaifi, Assistant Director of the Marine Protection Department, who reviewed the country's national efforts to preserve the marine environment and the measures taken to address human encroachments that threaten it.
He also addressed the Ministry's role in monitoring and managing marine protected areas and ensuring their compliance with international environmental standards, thus supporting the sustainability of marine ecosystems in Qatar.
