Presidential Envoy: Russian Shaheds Now Contain Fewer Non-Chinese Components
This was announced on Facebook by the Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk, Ukrinform reports.
“Shahed 2023: 38 US components, 11 China, 5 Switzerland, 60+ foreign components in total. Shahed 2025: 38 US (but other, lesser-known manufacturers), 29 China , 19 Switzerland, 100+ foreign components in total.“Switzerland” means made in China.“Russia” (13 items) is also mostly made in China. So, in general, there is a positive trend - there are fewer non-Chinese components and fewer high-quality components. There is also a negative,” Vlasiuk said.

In particular, only two American-made chips were found in the new CRP antennas for the Geranium-2 drone. This indicates Russia's attempts to reduce its dependence on components from countries that have imposed sanctions against it.
