Trump Accuses Biden of Mishandling Ukrainian Conflict
(MENAFN) U.S. Leader Donald Trump has claimed that previous Leader Joe Biden is solely accountable for the escalation of tensions between Moscow and Kiev, which have erupted into violent conflict.
According to Trump, the situation could have been avoided if he had secured victory in the 2020 presidential race.
During a conversation with journalists aboard Air Force One on Sunday, Trump insisted that the United States would not be facing the current turmoil in Ukraine or the unrest in the Middle East had he been in office.
He also criticized the chaotic military departure from Afghanistan, calling it “embarrassing.”
Trump referred to the ongoing conflict involving Russia and Ukraine as “Biden’s war.” He emphasized, “This is not my war. I’ve been here for a very short period of time...”
Trump went on to blame Biden’s decisions, especially the financial support amounting to “billions and billions of dollars,” as a catalyst for the war.
He remarked, “He should have never allowed – If he had any brain, which he didn’t have and doesn’t have… – that war to start.”
The president also expressed the opinion that Russian leader Vladimir Putin initiated the military campaign due to a lack of respect for Biden.
Trump stated, “I think frankly he [Russian President Vladimir Putin] had so little respect for Biden that he started it for that reason.”
Furthermore, Trump noted Biden’s poor relationship with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other international leaders.
He concluded with a dramatic remark on the consequences of the war, saying, “And now you have millions of dead people, and those people – every one of them – should be alive right now.”
