
Australia To Issue Visas For Bangadeshis From Dhaka
Dhaka: Australia has decided to process visas for Bangladeshi citizens at its High Commission in Dhaka, as per a release from the Chief Adviser's Press Wing.
Australian Home Minister Tony Burke has held a telephone conversation with Adviser for Home Affairs Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today.
During the conversation, the Australian Home Minister has confirmed that the country has decided to process visas for Bangladeshi citizens from its High Commission in Dhaka, and the decision will be effective immediately.
Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Mohammad Yunus had requested Australian Home Minister Mr. Burke to facilitate this arrangement during his visit to Bangladesh in October last year.
Currently Australia processes visas for Bangladeshi citizens at its High Commission in New Delhi, India.
