Israel orders Palestinians to depart Gaza
(MENAFN) On Tuesday, the Israeli military issued evacuation orders for Palestinian civilians in several areas of the Gaza Strip, coinciding with a sudden and intense air attack operation.
Avichay Adraee, representative of the army, urged residents of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, as well as Khuza’a and Abasan in the south, to leave immediately, labeling these areas as “dangerous combat zones.”
He shared a post on X calling on civilians, stating: “For your own safety, you must evacuate immediately to known shelters in western Gaza City and in Khan Younis.”
The announcement came as Palestinian authorities reported that more than 322 Palestinians were either killed or missing, with hundreds more injured, following Israeli attacks earlier in the day. These attacks occurred without regard to a ceasefire covenant that had been in place since January 19.
Since October 2023, the Israeli army operations in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of over 48,500 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and left more than 112,000 others sustained various degrees of injury.
The genocide committed against Palestinian people has drawn international condemnation, with the International Criminal Court releasing orders, in November 2023, to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of war crimes and atrocities against Gaza’s people.
Additionally, Israel is being subjected to a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its military operations and atrocities in the Gaza.
