Haaland sets record as Manchester City draw 2-2 with Brighton


(MENAFN) Manchester City scored 2-2 in a draw with Brighton & Hove Albion in a game where Norwegian striker Erling Haaland set the record, as the 29th Week of the English Premier League pursued with five games on Saturday.

Haaland, who goaled from a penalty kick in the 11th minute of the game at the Etihad Stadium, broke Alan Shearer's score of 100 goals in 100 matches which made him be the first athlete in league record to score 100 goals in 94 matches.

Brighton was even with Pervis Estupinan's score in the 21st minute.

The hosts, with a comeback in the 39th minute with Egyptian striker Omar Marmus, could not maintain their victorious stance as Abdukadir Khusanov evened the score one more time in the 48th minute.

Manchester City are at the fifth place scoring 48 points following their sixth draw this season, whereas Brighton ranked seventh scoring 47 points.
