Musk raises serious claims regarding greatest fraud in US history

(MENAFN) Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of SpaceX and head of the Department of government Efficiency (DOGE), has raised serious allegations against the US Social Security Administration (SSA), claiming it is involved in extensive fraud. Musk recently stated that a preliminary review by DOGE revealed that the SSA is disbursing benefits to individuals as old as 150. He pointed out that many Social Security records contained no identifying information, further adding to his concerns.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Musk highlighted a discrepancy where the number of "eligible" Social Security numbers exceeds the US population. He shared a post suggesting that 394,943,364 people are receiving benefits, although the total US population is around 334 million. Musk called this a potential "huge fraud" and claimed that thousands of people, some supposedly over 150 years old, are still listed as living in SSA records.

Musk joked about the absurdity, suggesting that “Twilight is real and there are a lot of vampires collecting Social Security,” referring to the vampire-themed book series.

The DOGE, created by Trump to improve federal operations and reduce government spending, has implemented significant cuts, including dismantling the USAID and CFPB, and introducing strict limits on NIH grants. Musk has suggested that $1 trillion in cuts could be possible.
