Indian Ocean Conference Addresses Ways To Enhance Maritime Partnerships

Muscat: The State of Qatar participated in the eighth Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) held in Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman, under the theme 'Voyage to New Horizons of Maritime Partnership.'

In the conference, the State of Qatar was represented by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

The eighth edition of the conference addresses ways to enhance maritime partnerships, improve trade links, support sustainable development and issues related to maritime security and ensure freedom of navigation, in addition to benefiting from modern technology to enhance port security and governance.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met in Muscat with HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al Rassi.

The meeting - on the sidelines of the eighth Indian Ocean Conference (IOC), currently held in the Sultanate of Oman - discussed bilateral cooperation relations and explored ways to boost them. Both sides also addressed several topics of common interest. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi also met in Muscat with Minister of State at the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh.

The meeting - on the sidelines of the eighth Indian Ocean Conference (IOC), currently held in the Sultanate of Oman - addressed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to foster them.

The agenda also included topics of mutual interest.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met yesterday with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal H E Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, on the sidelines of the Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) held in Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman. During the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them. They also discussed several topics of mutual interest.
