Dubai signs deal together with Elon Musk's company
(MENAFN) Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has inked a pact with United States tech billionaire Elon Musk’s understructure company, The Boring Company, to examine the establishment of the motivated tunnel project "Dubai Loop".
The agreement was inked during the attendance of crown prince of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in the time of the 2025 World Governments Summit, based on a declaration from Dubai Media Office.
The project foresees a 17-kilometer (over 10-mile) underground tunnel with 11 stations, established for the transportation of more than 20,000 travelers each hour in the town consisting of above 3.6 million.
Al Tayer stated, "The MoU aligns with the directives of the leadership to forge partnerships with leading global companies, reinforcing Dubai’s position at the forefront of advanced and sustainable mobility solutions."
