Qatar Condemns Attack On UNIFIL Convoy Near Beirut Airport

Doha, Qatar: The State of Qatar condemned the attack that targeted the convoy of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), near Beirut airport, and considered it a flagrant violation of international law.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement today that the State of Qatar completely rejects any attack targeting peacekeeping forces that play a fundamental role in maintaining security and stability in Lebanon, and stressed the need for an urgent investigation into the incident by the Lebanese authorities and bringing those responsible to justice.
