Hamas To Release Three Israeli Hostages Today

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Hamas has announced the release of hostages Sagui Dekel-Chen, Sasha Troufanov and Iair Horn . The three are expected to be freed on Saturday, February 15th.

Axios reported that the hostages will be released after a period of captivity under Hamas. Their release follows growing international pressure.

Tel Aviv has warned that if the hostages are not released on time, the ceasefire will be revoked, and war in Gaza will resume. This has heightened tensions between both sides.

Earlier, Hamas suspended the release of hostages due to Israel's violation of the ceasefire agreement. This has led to further uncertainty regarding peace prospects.

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning, threatening to cancel the ceasefire and escalate conflict if Hamas does not release the hostages by Saturday afternoon.

In response to these threats, the UN Secretary-General has urged Hamas to continue working on plans for the release of hostages in order to prevent another catastrophe in Gaza.

Since the ceasefire began, 16 Israeli hostages have been exchanged for 766 Palestinian prisoners, showing a fragile but ongoing negotiation process.
