(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE Minister of Sports and Youth sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani said Morocco's winning FIFA World Cup 2030 bid manifests its prestigious status on the global stage.
His Excellency added the North African nation gained huge confidence after it had delivered a string of successful events.
Morocco was officially named as a co-host of the 2030 World Cup along with Spain and Portugal.
In a press statement, HE Sheikh Hamad hailed the remarkable multi-level development of Moroccan football that culminated in their national team finishing fourth in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
His Excellency extended his congratulations to the trio, stressing Doha's full support for them to produce an outstanding event.
