RW Institute Reimagines Social Impact Through Collective Action Network Makerspace
WASHINGTON, December 11, 2024 /3BL/ - Just as traditional makerspaces revolutionized manufacturing by bringing together tools, expertise, and collaborative spaces for physical creation, the RW Institute (RWI) is transforming corporate social impact through its Collective Action Network . On January 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM EST , this innovative community of practice opens its virtual doors, functioning as a makerspace where social impact professionals can move beyond surface-level metrics to create lasting change.
"Corporate citizenship today is trapped in a cycle of PowerPoint presentations and annual reports that measure activity rather than outcomes and long term impact," says Chris Jarvis , Executive Director of RWI. "Our Collective Action Network attempts to break this cycle by creating an environment where people can experiment, collaborate, and build solutions together, supported by - but not defined by - digital tools."
Within this collaborative ecosystem, carefully curated groups of three participants, called triads, work together in three distinct laboratory environments. Genome Labs tackle fundamental patterns of human cooperation that shape our social inheritance. Core Labs provide space for open exploration and rapid prototyping. Amplifier Labs transform theoretical insights into frameworks tested in real organizational contexts.
This work is supported by the Inqli digital platform designed with prosocial principles to support real innovation through human connection and collaboration. Like the drill press in a traditional makerspace, Inqli is one of many tools selected to enable the deeper work of creation and experimentation.
The Collective Action Network represents a fundamental shift in how we approach social impact. Rather than working in isolation with limited tools, participants join a community where expertise, resources, and collaboration combine to create solutions that can scale across organizations and generations.
Join us virtually for this watershed moment in the evolution of corporate social impact.
