Kuwait Anti-Doping Agency Ready For Arabian Gulf -- Official


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Anti-Doping Agency (KADA) on Wednesday affirmed readiness to uncover cases of taking dopes for the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup titled آ'Khaleeji Zain 26آ', due from December 21, 2024, to January 3, 2025.
KADA chairperson Nadia Al-Shemali said in a statement that the agency's measures, as issued by the Arab Gulf Cup Federation, would be executed on the basis of international criteria. Samples will be sent to Qatar anti-Doping Laboratory for analysis, and the results will be submitted to the teams and the federation.
Al-Shemali added that 17 examiners will extract the samples from the participating athletes who will be selected in a draw at a rate of two players per team in all matches, in line with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules.
She called upon the teams' managers to educate the athletes about the anti-doping rules. (end)
