Kuwaiti Gov't Approves Traffic Law's Amendments Toughening Fines, Penalties


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- The cabinet agreed, during its weekly meeting on Wednesday, on amending law 67/1976 regarding traffic law violations and fines.
The meeting -- chaired by Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah -- approved amendments, which increased fines and penalties to those violating traffic regulations including crossing red traffic lights, reckless driving, illegal racing on public roads, exceeding speed limits, and driving wrong side of roads.
A draft law of the amendment would be sent to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for approval. (end)
