(MENAFN) Bonds between Turkey and the United Arab Emirates have experienced significant progress in numerous areas, according to the Turkish ambassador to the Gulf state.
Tugay Tuncer, speaking to Anadolu, noted that ties between Turkey and the UAE have now reached a strategic level.
"Over the past three years, we have achieved significant progress across various dimensions, including the political, economic, military, defense industry, social, and cultural spheres."
Tuncer underscored the immense potential between the two nations, pointing out that mutual visits by leaders from both sides have been instrumental in building a foundation and providing robust support for this advancement.
He stated that the two countries have signed over 50 agreements in the past three years.
Tuncer also emphasized that after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Abu Dhabi last year, the bilateral relationship was elevated to a strategic partnership.
"While we talk about economic, military, and social ties, the connections between the peoples of the two nations have also strengthened significantly."
