Kyrgyz President Invites German Companies To Joint Logistics Projects


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 17. German logistics companies can join the implementation of strategic projects in Kyrgyzstan, the nation's President Sadyr Zhaparov said during a meeting with German business representatives in Astana today, Trend reports via the President's Administration.

Zhaparov also highlighted the potential for cooperation with the Kyrgyz side in the areas of hydropower plant construction and the development of renewable energy sources.

The head of state noted that, given the climate challenges, projects involving the construction of modern reservoirs, the modernization of irrigation systems, and the implementation of mechanized and drip irrigation technologies hold strategic interest.

He pointed out that Kyrgyzstan is improving its tax legislation by reducing the tax burden for business entities, and organizations of national or investment significance are receiving various benefits.

According to the president, thanks to the government's support measures for the business sector, there is an increase in foreign direct investment inflows into Kyrgyzstan, with Germany being among the top five countries for foreign investment this year.

To note, Zhaparov has arrived in Astana to participate in the Central Asia – Germany summit. As part of the visit, he met with Scholz.
