Azerbaijan Reveals Number Of Candidacies For Upcoming Parliamentary Election

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 22. A total of 1,048
people have been nominated for the extraordinary parliamentary
election in Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Central
Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, of the nominated candidates for MPs, 700 people were approved.
On June 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the dissolution of the Azerbaijani Parliament of the sixth convocation and the appointment of an extraordinary election to the Azerbaijani Parliament.
The extraordinary election is scheduled for September 1, 2024.
