(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 17. The issue of integrating renewable energy sources into Azerbaijan's energy system was a key topic of discussion during negotiations between Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and the World Bank's Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Roland Pryce, Trend reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.

“The project to strengthen the transmission network to ensure the integration of green energy into the country's energy system, the progress made regarding the connection of solar and wind power from Masdar projects to the energy system, and other energy sector issues were discussed at the meeting with the World Bank delegation at the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan,” the ministry said.

Representatives of Azerenerji OJSC also attended the meeting.
