(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))
ISTANBUL, July 13 (KUNA) -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday no country can feel safe as long as occupying forces seek its security by occupying more lands.
During his speech at the National Defense University staff officer graduation ceremony, Erdogan explained that what has been happening in Gaza since October 7 is plainly genocide.
Erdogan expressed at the NATO summit the need to put more pressure on the occupying forces' government to stop the war. He conveyed Turkiye's wish to announce a ceasefire.
On Turkiye's anti-terrorism operations within its borders, Erdogan stated that the PKK has become unable to carry out actions and is tightly cornered in the regions of Iraq and Syria.
Regarding the war in Ukraine, Erdogan confirmed the efforts aimed at ending the conflict, which is also harming bilateral relations with neighboring countries. (end)
