Azerbaijan To Implement Entrepreneur-Friendly Competition Index

The competition index will be used in Azerbaijan, head of the State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Consumer market Supervision under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan Mammad Abbasbayli said at the first National Competitiveness Forum held in Baku, Trend reports.

"One of the key focuses of the Activity Plan is to assess the level of competition and develop a competition map to effectively measure competition and its criteria. Creating a relevant database and investing time in it will eventually yield a regional map. This map will provide detailed information on the market shares of entrepreneurs and their products, serving as a valuable tool to prevent offenses," Abbasbayli emphasized.

To note, the State Service for Antimonopoly Supervision and Consumer Market Control participates in the preparation and implementation of state policy in the fields of antimonopoly policy, public procurement, technical regulation, standardization, metrology, and consumer protection. The main mission of the service is to create conditions for free competition and effective protection of entrepreneurship, which ensures sustainable development of the country's economy.
