PMD Forecasts Widespread Rain And Thunderstorms Across Pakistan


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rains and thunderstorms across the country, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Regions likely to experience thundershowers and gusty winds include Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Bajaur, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Mohmand, Peshawar, Charsadda, Khyber, Kurram, Orakzai, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and North and South Waziristan districts. Additionally, heavy rain is expected in some of these areas.

Strong winds and thundershowers are also anticipated in Islamabad, the Potohar region, Upper Punjab, North-east Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In the last 24 hours, the weather in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remained hot and partly cloudy. However, some areas, including Swat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Bannu, Bajaur, Khyber, and Mohmand, experienced thundershowers.
