Palmeiras Negotiates Jhon Jhon’S Transfer To Red Bull Bragantino

(MENAFN- The Rio Times) Palmeiras is in talks to transfer 21-year-old midfielder Jhon Jhon, who has a contract with the club until 2026, to Red Bull Bragantino.

If Jhon Jhon departs, he will be the fourth player to leave Palmeiras this season. Luan moved to Toluca, Luis Guilherme joined West Ham, Endrick transferred to Real Madrid, and Breno Lopes went to Fortaleza.

Currently, Jhon Jhon remains available to coach Abel Ferreira. This season, he has played in 12 matches, starting only three. His last game was a 2-2 draw against Grêmio, replacing the suspended Raphael Veiga.

Jhon Jhon joined Palmeiras in 2021 for the under-20 team and played a crucial role in winning the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior in 2022. Before that, he debuted with the senior team in the final round of the 2021 Brasileirão.

In 2023, Jhon Jhon had more opportunities, appearing in 32 matches. Despite this, he struggled to secure a regular spot due to strong competition.

This year, he went four months without playing and returned in a match against Bragantino during the 10th round of the Brasileirão.

Overall, Jhon Jhon has made 46 appearances and provided one assist for Palmeiras . He has won two Brasileirão titles (2022 and 2023), two Campeonato Paulista titles (2023 and 2024), and one Supercopa do Brasil (2023).

The potential transfer of Jhon Jhon reflects broader trends in Brazilian football. Clubs like Palmeiras are increasingly seen as stepping stones for young talent.

These players often move to bigger European teams, continuing their development. Red Bull Bragantino has become a notable player in this process, aiming to develop young talent and compete at higher levels.
